The River People as they are called by other races, the Halflings are a relativly new race to Aurloan. They have been here for hundreds of years but were only discovered when the Baroness expanded and ordered cities to be built near the rivers edge to harvest their bounty. The halflings have lived on and with the rivers their entire existence and the Baroness looked to them to control her river communities. Living in small homes built into the side of hills their small communities grew to respectable hamlets at the rivers edge, housing many races that wanted to learn the trade and work within the waters. So far not many Halflings have wanted to travel into the big cities, they like their peaceful river towns, but it is not totally uncommon. They are curious by nature and some Halflings have even accompanied the trade wagons back to larger cities.
Average Height: 3’10” – 4’2”
Average Weight: 75-85 lb.
Ability Scores: +2 Dexterity, +2 Charisma, -2 Strength. Nimble and strong willed, but their small stature makes them weaker than others.
Size: Small…gain a +1 size bonus to AC, +1 size bonus to attack rolls, a -1 penalty to CMB and CMD, and a +4 size bonus to stealth.
Slow Speed: 20 Feet
Languages: Common & Halfling
Fearless: Recieve a +2 racial bonus to on all saving throws against fear. This stacks with halfling luck.
Halfling Luck: You gain a +1 racial bonus to all saving throws.
Keen Senses: You gain a +2 racial bonus to Perception skill checks.
Sure Footed: You gain a +2 racial bonus to Acrobatics and Climb skill checks.
Weapon Familiarity: You are proficient with slings and treat any weapon with the word halfling in its name as a martial weapon.
